Black Knight Financial Services Invited to Demonstrate its Closing Insight Solution at MBA’s National Technology in Mortgage Banking Conference

March 25, 2015
JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – March 25, 2015 – Black Knight Financial Services has been invited by the Mortgage Bankers Association (MBA) to demonstrate its new Closing Insight solution at the Second General Session of MBA’s National Technology in Mortgage Banking Conference & Expo 2015, held March 29-April 1 at the Hyatt Regency in Orlando, Fla.

Closing Insight offers a new process-driven, rules-based technology and collaborative portal that will help the mortgage industry meet new loan disclosure requirements under TILA and RESPA sections 4 and 5. Closing Insight’s suite of Web-based technology and workflow solutions is being developed by Black Knight’s RealEC Technologies division in collaboration with two of the top five mortgage originators, as well as title underwriters and settlement agents, to automate the numerous multi-party processes required to close a loan. The solution provides an automated approval process and a collaborative closing service that will streamline the reconciliation of fees for initial and final loan closing disclosures. Using a proven, client-configurable rules engine, lenders will have the ability to generate and review disclosure documents to help them meet loan-closing timeline requirements.

“We are excited about this opportunity to demonstrate Closing Insight at the MBA’s Technology Showcase in March. This new solution will help the mortgage industry’s efforts to comply with the TILA-RESPA Integrated Disclosure rule by creating a tool that enables online collaboration between all the providers involved in the loan origination process to improve operational efficiency and support lenders,” said Dan Sogorka, president, RealEC Technologies. “By delivering a high-quality, data-driven loan process, Closing Insight will also create a better closing experience for consumers.”
Some of the specific areas of the loan process that RealEC Technologies, lenders, title underwriters and settlement agents are targeting to improve include:
- Improving loan workflow by examining how lenders, underwriters and agents interact
- Developing naming consistency and analyzing tolerances for loan-related fees
- Improving settlement agent registration and outreach
- Tracking evidence of compliance
- Managing loan files electronically

Approximately 700 attendees are expected at MBA’s National Technology in Mortgage Banking Conference & Expo 2015. “Mortgage market participants have attended MBA’s Tech Conference and Expo to see cutting-edge products and services for years,” said Rick Hill, vice president, Mortgage Bankers Association and executive vice president, MISMO. “At this year’s conference, leading vendors will showcase their latest developments during Monday’s general session, giving lenders the chance to see these new products on a side-by-side basis.”

The Second General Technology Showcase, where Closing Insight will be presented, is scheduled for Monday, March 30, from 10:30 to 11:45 a.m. Eight leading technology solution providers will be given seven minutes each to quickly demonstrate their solutions, then presenters will be available to meet with attendees in the Expo Hall immediately following the showcase.
